write your first standard operating procedure
tortoise is the wiki for how your business runs. how you open in the morning, how you answer the phone, how you handle a refund — write it once, the team reads it on day one.
4 steps·~2 min - 02
organize pages into a hierarchy
as you write more procedures, group them. a "sales" parent page with "first call," "follow-up," and "close" as children is way easier to navigate than a flat list.
3 steps·~2 min - 03
build out a full playbook for a role
the highest-leverage tortoise pages are full role playbooks — every sop a new hire needs to do the job, all under one parent. a few hours of writing saves you from explaining the same thing 40 times.
4 steps·~3 min - 04
use rich text and paste cleanly from other docs
tortoise's editor handles rich text — headings, bold, lists, links — and is forgiving when you paste content from a google doc or word doc.

tortoise vs the wymzy knowledge base
two things that sound the same but aren't. wymzy.ai/knowledge-base is our docs about how to use wymzy. tortoise is your docs about how your business runs.

share tortoise pages with your team
every teammate on your cypress roster can read tortoise. you write the playbook once; new hires walk through it on day one.

autosave — how it works
tortoise saves about 800ms after you stop typing. you'll see "saving" briefly and then "saved" before it fades. there's no save button — leave the tab when the spinner goes idle and the latest version is on the server.
3 steps·~2 min - 08
format text — bold, italic, underline, links
tortoise's editor supports inline marks (bold, italic, underline) and links via the formatting toolbar. shortcuts work the way you'd expect.
3 steps·~2 min - 09
give a page an emoji icon
every page can carry an emoji that shows in the sidebar tree next to the title. helps you (and the team) scan a long page list visually.
3 steps·~2 min - 10
archive a page (and restore it later)
tortoise pages soft-delete via archive. the page disappears from the tree but the content + revisions survive — restore it any time before you actually purge.
3 steps·~2 min - 11
search across all your tortoise pages
previewfull-text search across every page is roadmapped. for now, browser find (ctrl/cmd-f) on a single page is the only way to search.
2 steps·~1 min - 12
version history — see what changed
previewevery save is snapshotted under the hood, but the version-history viewer to scroll through past edits and roll back hasn't shipped yet.
2 steps·~1 min - 13
share a page with someone outside your team
previewtoday only cypress teammates can read tortoise pages. external sharing (a public link for a vendor or contractor) is roadmapped.
