sweetgum

where ytd totals come from

sweetgum doesn't track payments itself — it reads from pawpaw (refunds, vendor invoices), bluejay (logged payments tagged 1099), and pecan (non-employee compensation). everything rolls up here.

  1. 1

    pawpaw payments to contractors

if you pay a contractor through pawpaw (rare but happens), that payment counts toward their ytd here.

  2. 2

    bluejay 1099-tagged payments

this is the main feed. when you log a payment in bluejay and the payee is tagged 1099-eligible, it rolls up to sweetgum automatically.

  3. 3

    pecan non-employee comp

non-employee compensation paid through pecan also flows in. employees (w-2s) don't — that's a different form.

    tip

if you see a contractor in sweetgum with a ytd that doesn't match what you remember paying, drill into their card — every payment lists its source app and date.
