otter

what your customer actually sees

before you send a promo to your whole list, walk through what the customer experiences. the difference between a code that converts and one that doesn't is often just where it shows up.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

active promos appear on the yaupon portal

every customer with a yaupon login sees an automatic "promotions" section listing every active promo they qualify for. shows the code, the discount, and a countdown if there's an end date.

  2. 2

the code field appears at pawpaw checkout

when a customer pays an invoice, there's a "have a promo code?" field above the total. they type the code, otter validates it, and the discount is applied to the total in real time before stripe charges them.

  3. 3

mayhaw quote pages also accept codes

the public quote page customers land on has the same "have a promo code?" field. typing it adds a discount line to the quote, which carries over when the quote converts to an invoice.

    tip

if you want to test a promo end-to-end, create a real test invoice to your own email, click the payment link, and try entering the code. you'll catch any issues (wrong audience, expired) before a paying customer hits them.
