restrict a promo to specific products or services

instead of a whole-cart discount, limit the promo to specific magpie products or mockingbird services. "$10 off any haircut" — the discount only fires when the cart includes that service.

    open the promo form

    scroll to the "restrictions" section.

    pick products or services

    the restriction picker pulls from your magpie + mockingbird catalogs. tick any items the promo applies to. each pick adds a chip so you can see at a glance.

    save

    the promo only validates if the cart includes at least one of the selected items. on pawpaw checkout, otter shows the customer which line(s) the discount applies to.

    tip

    for category-wide promos, tick every product in the category. there's no category-only filter yet — the picks have to be specific items.
