open sassafras
click "sassafras" in the sidebar. you land in the receipts list.

click "add receipt"
drag a photo or pdf into the upload box, or pick a file. on mobile, you can take a photo straight from the camera.

wait a few seconds
ai scans the image and pulls vendor, date, subtotal, tax, and total. fields you can edit if anything looks off.
tipblurry or angled photos still work, but flat well-lit shots improve accuracy. crop tight if there's table clutter in the frame.

save
click "save receipt". it lands in your list, ready to categorize or export.
