void a pay run (e.g. duplicate or cancelled)

if a run gets logged twice, or you cancelled the run at the provider before it actually paid, void instead of delete. void reverses the sycamore entry cleanly.

    open the run

    click the row.

    tap void

    the run stays in the list marked voided. if it was synced to sycamore, the journal entry reverses with a balancing entry on the same date.

    log the real run

    if the duplicate represented an actual run, log the correct one. if the run was simply cancelled at the provider, no replacement needed.

    tip

    void > delete. void preserves the timeline; delete looks like the run never existed and confuses your year-end totals.
