pin an invoice to a specific location

for clients with multiple sites — "building 3," "the elm st store," "the warehouse vs. the storefront." pinning an invoice to a dragonfly location keeps the work straight in the customer's mind and yours.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

    build the invoice

in the new-invoice form, after picking the client, the "service location" dropdown shows every location attached to that client's company in dragonfly.

  2. 2

pick a location (or leave it blank)

if the work was at a specific site, pick it. if it was at the customer's main billing address, leave the dropdown blank.

  3. 3

the location shows on the invoice

the invoice email and pdf both show "@ building 3" alongside the customer name. the operator-side detail also shows the location pill so it's clear which site the invoice belonged to.

    tip

for one-location clients, this dropdown is empty — no need to fill in. it only matters when a client has more than one site you do work at.
