crawdad

link a job to a pawpaw invoice

when work is done, the invoice should mention the job — both for your records and so the customer knows what they're paying for. crawdad creates the invoice from the job in two clicks.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

    open the completed job

find the job in your crawdad list (filter by "status: complete" if you have a lot). open it.

  2. 2

    click "create invoice"

crawdad opens pawpaw's new-invoice flow with the customer pre-filled and any logged time pre-loaded as line items. tweak the line items, add anything that wasn't tracked (materials, etc.), and send.

  3. 3

    the link stays for life

the invoice has a "from job" link back to the crawdad job, and the job has an "invoice" link to the pawpaw invoice. you can navigate between them anytime — useful when a customer asks why an invoice is what it is.

    tip

for jobs that get billed in stages (deposit + balance), use deposit on the first invoice. don't make two separate invoices and try to track them both — pawpaw's deposit feature was built for exactly this.
