add a personal message to a gift card

the message field on a card lets the buyer write a note that shows on the recipient's email and in their yaupon portal. small touch that lifts the whole gift.

    the issue form has a message field at the bottom.

    "happy birthday — i know you've been wanting to try this place" lands very differently than a bare card. the buyer's voice carries the gift.

    the recipient sees the message in their delivery email and on the card detail in their yaupon portal. you don't need to copy-paste it anywhere — whitetail handles the threading.

    tip

    you can leave the message blank — sometimes a card is just a card. but for birthdays, anniversaries, and apology gifts, the message is the whole reason it's a gift card and not cash.
