the service dialog has a "default deposit %" field.

0 means no deposit. 25 means 25% of the line. 100 means full payment up front. you can override per quote.

the deposit flows to mayhaw
when this service is added to a quote via the catalog picker, the deposit % copies onto the line. the customer pays the deposit on accept; the rest comes due when you convert to a pawpaw invoice.
tip30–50% is the sweet spot for most service businesses — covers materials and your time on the front end without scaring off customers. 100% reads as cash-up-front, which is fine for proven services with repeat customers.
