throw away changes since the last publish

if you've made a bunch of edits and decided you don't want any of them, you can revert your draft to whatever's currently published — no "undo" button required.

    open magnolia and the editor

    load your site as you normally would.

    use the discard option

    the editor's draft action set has a discard option that resets your draft to match what's live. all unpublished changes go away.

    your live site is untouched

    discard never affects what visitors see. it only resets the editor.

    tip

    if you want to test a big experiment without risking your published site, that's the right pattern — make changes in your draft, preview, decide. discard if it didn't work, publish if it did.
